AHS-FP Norwood Hamilton Classification

Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) is a condition involving both genetic (inherited) and hormonal factors. AGA in men/women usually begins at the hairline. The hairline gradually recedes from an “M” shape. The hair becomes finer and shorter.

The hair at the top of your head (also called the crown) begins to thin. Over time the top of the hairline meets the thinned crown, leaving a pattern of hair around the sides of your head.

A system called the Norwood Hamilton Classification system is used to determine the extent of hair loss. This chart will assist in determining your stage of hair loss.

The AHS-FP program is not recommended for use by men/women with Norwood Hamilton Classification I, II, Va, VI, or VII.
